Wow!! That is a fantastic looking knife. Just out of curiosity, what's the general turn around time to make a knife like that from start to finish?

Wow.
I have to start trading up in this hobby. That is a fine looking knife, and at 275.00 I feel you are selling yourself short.
Yeah... I have to up my game because I would LOVE to own one of your knives. ::nod::

I think it is the large pins balanced out by the diagonal insert behind the guard that add just the right "flair" to the knife. Great design. ::tu::

Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate it. I am surprised no one has asked what the knife is displayed on, so I 'll tell you , it's a piece of Ibex horn. No big deal but it works pretty good, just cut a couple of grooves to hold the blade and handle. Thanks again, terry

I knew it was horn but I still have no clue what an Ibex is...

That picture will do well in the "Photography" thread as well.

Ken, this is an adult Ibex. Google is your friend.

From Wikipedia -- The Alpine ibex (Capra ibex), also known as the steinbock or bouquetin, is a species of wild goat that lives in the mountains of the European Alps.

Terry, that is a right fine example of some custom cutlery you've posted. If I could afford it, I'd be on that like a duck on a bug. ::tu::

Ignorance is bliss. Now that I know what an Ibex is there is less room in the brain pan for something else that I might have really wanted to know. ::tu::

I'm just messin' with you Jerry.
I knew they were some kind of fancy goat, and I have to agree that it is a majestic animal to say the least.
Too bad that us civil folks like to kill them. ::undecided::

Twenty some years ago my niece was 11-12. She decided that she wanted to go rabbit hunting with her dad, and I so I explained to her that it was not rabbit playing with but rabbit inside out.
She claimed to understand so we went...
I offered her the first shot (.22) but she wanted to see me shoot first. POP, shake, and baked!

She screamed for three hours, cried for twice that long, and proclaimed that this rabbit was her friend, and I murdered her.
I poop you not when I tell you that she called me "The Murderer" until she was 20 something!

I have never killed another animal from that day to this.

My apology for sidetracking.

You can tell your daughter that I didn't kill the ibex, I got it in a bunch of stuff from Cabela's when I worked there. I got to buy broken, undersize horns and etc. Worked out pretty good for a custom knife maker! Thanks Jerry for clearing the water and posting a photo of the Ibex. BTW they roam around Iran, and Spain among other strange places. ::tu:: Terry
