Wow Derek, that's really nice. You did a fine job Sir. I don't think I could draw that knife let alone make it from scratch. I especially like the indentations in the bolster, nice touch. And the handle pins are all perfectly round and flush with the scales. Everything fits nicely and the entire knife has clean lines. Very very nice work Sir. For heat treating I use a small potbelly ... once the flue and all the vents are open she gets pretty hot I hang the blades in there until they are red hot and keep testing with a magnet until the blade is un-magnetic Then a quick quench in Canola Oil. Later I temper the blade in the kitchen oven.

The bar at the back fits around the tang of the file and is held by the two small bolts; at the front a small wedge holds it in place.
