AAPK Forum Searches

Not a complaint here only a suggestion. When you search an AAPK forum and use quotation marks to get exact search results those are ignored. For example I know there was discussion a while back in one of the forums about good for knives that kind of served as tokens and you presented the knives for a discount from the merchant. However if you search for " good for" using quotation marks they are ignored and the search results tell you these words are too common and there are too many results and you should be more specific. I ran into this a while back with another search for something else and don't have any idea how you accomplish this but feel like it would be an improvement. BTW I did search for token and found the thread I was looking for.

I often find the forum search feature does not work very well...with my level of understanding it. I usually have my best luck...going to Google, running the search, and adding AAPK at the end of it.

Trying to search the Ode for the 07 thread with "5 blade" produced the same result. Apparently the quotation marks were ignored. The result was the statement that the words were too common. I'd like to find any posts in that thread about Mini-Trappers with more than 2 blades. How do I do that without reading all 36 pages?

The key to successful searches is the word or words you enter. The more unique the word the more exact the results. For example "token" is more unique than "good for". I try to remember some word or words that are a bit 'unique' whenever i read a thread that i might want to find again. But this is no help for threads i have yet to read.
This need for some specificity when searching is not just AAPK. All online searches require about the same degree of specificity. Or so it seems to this no-tech old guy.

Most search engines allow one to formulate and narrow searches using Boolean expressions. The AAPK search engine does not appear to incorporate this feature. I’ve provided a link that might help with your other online searches.
