Rotated photos issue

Sometimes I take a photo that needs rotated either 90 or 180 degrees. I rotate the photo on my hard drive and everything looks good. That is, until I post that photo here.

The photo below was taken on 9/14/15 and I rotated it 180 degrees on that same day. It displays in the upright position on my hard drive as it has ever since 9/14/15. Yet when I post it here it displays upside down which is the way that I originally took the photo. Clicking on the photo enlarges it and at the same time, inverts it to the proper position.

I don't have that problem when I post pictures like this elsewhere that I've rotated and I've noticed that it happens to other members here too, not just me.

Is this a forum issue or is it something I can fix on my end? Thanks.

Railsplitter when you take your photos are you using a phone camera or a regular camera? If you are using your phone I have noticed that this will occur if you take the photo and you have the screen rotation feature turned off.

Take your picture, crop it even if you don't have to, save it and delete the old picture. Posts correctly every time.

I'm using a Cannon A590 point & shoot camera. (don't own a smartphone) I then upload the photo from the camera to my desktop computer and rotate it on the computer.

I'll give the crop, save, delete thing a try and post back here shortly with my results.

Well, when I attempt to crop the photo I do have a "Crop" option but it's greyed out and clicking on it does nothing. I made sure the photo was highlighted and it remained greyed out.

Yep, it worked! I didn't see a tiny little box that was there which allowed me to crop it without clicking on the crop option.

It's a custom knife made by Craig Camerer. Elephant Ivory handle slabs and ATS-34 stainless steel.

Craig lives about 60 miles from me but I actually got the knife in a trade with a gentleman from Montana if I remember correctly. That was almost 6 years ago so my memory is a little vague but I didn't get the knife from Craig.

Does that knife have a "pattern name"? Or would you just refer to it as a custom wharncliffe?

When I got the knife, the gentleman that I traded with couldn't remember what steel it was made of so I contacted Craig to ask him about it. I seem to remember that Craig did mention a name that he had for the knife. Oddly enough, I didn't write it down and I can't for the life of me remember what he said.

It's unusual of me not to have written it down but I must have been more focused on the blade steel at the time. If it comes to me I'll let you know but right now I'm drawing a blank.

I wonder how many folding knives he may have made? They do not appear to be his main focus.
