Guys,
I am told this is a counterfeit but I am not completely convinced. Imagine that.
It is supposedly a custom by Chris Reeve out of Idaho. Do we have any collectors of Chris Reeve knives? Can anyone make a case for or against this one?

I can't tell but there are many fake Sebenzas out there. Hope it's real.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

I'm no expert, but I do own a CR Sebenza that I know is real.
The screws on mine look different.
The pivot screw is also different.
The lanyard standoff is missing.
Yours looks like CR is etched, mine is engraved.
Mine has Idaho Made engraved on the pile side pivot end.
I will post a picture.

Re: Need Some Help On This One
Guys,
I just got a response from a lady at the Chris Reeve plant and she tells me this is a knife not made by or in the Chris Reeve shop.
I have offered to donate it to them for research/educational purposes. By the way, this is a very prompt response from their customer service folks.
Thanks to those who responded, for as always, I need all the help I can get.

Re: Need Some Help On This One
Ray, the fake Sebenza's are common on ebay. I have one that i bought a few years ago just to see what it is like. Paid about $20, new. For $20 it is a good knife but it is not a Sebenza even though it looks close enough to fool many people.

Lots of fake high-end Benchmades out there too, especially the autos.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!
