Need help on this knife
Need help on this knife
I picked this up the other day. I am very suspicious... ... anyone out there have an opinion or have seen one similar. Does this one "smell" like a fake?

Re: A Suggestion For Those Who Post In The Counterfeit Forum
Probably get better responses if you start a new thread for it instead of posting it in this thread about suggestions on how to improve the counterfeits forum.

If your religion requires that you hate someone, you need a new religion.
When the people fear their government, that is tyranny. When government fears the people, that is freedom.

Browning does not make knives. They have used knife manufacturers in USA, Germany & Japan. Yours is marked "USA" but i do not know of a manufacturer in USA who make knives of this style.

Both Utica and Bear & Son make knives of that type (“tactical folders”) in the U.S.A. There may be others but those two do. Whether that’s one of theirs I do not know. You might contact them and ask if it’s one they made, or ask Browning. They’re all still in business and all have web sites with contact info.

Quote Ken, "Both Utica and Bear & Son make knives of that type"
Good to know. Bear, Utica & Colonial are the 3 USA knife manufacturers that i do not follow or collect. Likely there are also small manufacturers whose names and knives are not widely known. That said, all the Browning knives i have had were made by well known knife manufacturers.
