Knives with pictures

Think this is the real deal?

Then you might want to take a look at these. This seller has some good knives listed and from his descriptions you can gather that he has knife knowledge. At least enough knowledge to know these are bogus. He could have least mentioned they had been rehandled and passed them off as repaired knives.

I love the Matthew 7:12 Golden Rule in the picture Bob -most appropriate I’d say ::facepalm::

Check back in and look at what the Case Barlow brought ! Basically 2 bidders ran it to that level. Hefty price for something that wasn't that well done. I'm not a glitter fan at all.

So this is a re-handled Case knife ? The picture of Marilyn Monroe does make it a neat novelty knife.

As I recall Case only made one knife that featured a picture handle and that was a b&w photo and called a,"High Art" knife and so stamped.

The below information is from "Case XX The first 100 years. A Pictorial and Historical review of W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery". By James S. Giles.
Complied and Edited by Smoky Mountain Knife Works. I've had this book since 1989.
If you are a Case Cutlery Collector, you should have this book in your library. 192 pages, many color photos. Excellent references.
ISBN 0-9623927-0-7 (Hardcover).

Case produced many products with "Naughty Lady" photos, probably in the 1930's and 1940's.
