The Fraud is in the description...

There's always a chance the seller has been conned also. I'm never this confrontational but it's 6 a.m. and I haven't been to sleep so...

This HAS been carried and sharpened--whittled down actually. Simply compare it to your other 61093 XX Toothpicks ((there were no single blade 61095s made in the straight XX era so tagging that number on in your description doesn't cut it) . And it appears to have been re-handled to boot. The only thing that keeps Ebay buyers safe from being defrauded with this one is the absurdly high price which is off by about $1,400.00. You have a bunch of good cutlery for sale, why taint your reputation trying to foist this one on us?

Looking at his other auctions, I really do think he should have, and does know better. What the heck is a "61093/95 THIN and SLIM Toothpick" anyway? At least he could have gotten that modern shield on straight. (Maybe its just me, but it seems to be sitting on there at an odd angle.) ::td:: ::td:: ::td:: ::td::

And another thing, looking at the auction pics, I suspect that "flawless" blade was welded onto the old XX tang. They obviously don't match at all and I think it looks suspicious for a number of reasons. OK, I'' stop now. ::teary_eyes::

Yup, twice in the past couple weeks I've been conned by sellers at the flea market.

\One in fact stated the knife was new and never used and he'd had it for over 30 years.
It's coming in the mail as a return today because, compared to one that actually has NEVER been used or modified, mine
was shorter and more polished....... ::facepalm::
I hate it, but it's the buisiness....

I avoid these issues by only buying knives under ~$30... ::tounge::

Well, that’s on the high side of what that one might be worth as an EDC!

Yes, he informed me in a return message that he was going to have an expert look at it. I'm sure it won't be listed again-- at that price point anyway.

Thanks for everyones input.

In the spirit of thanksgiving I'm grateful to the members of AAPK. You never leave a guy or gal dangling with an unanswered post even if its a reply that says "hang tight, someone who can answer your question will post soon". That's an awesome thing.
