MyrtleFaye

I have not seen any discussion here lately re' the ignominious Ebay purveyor of notoriously fake pocket cutlery, nor have I seen any items under his user name on Ebay.

Is he selling under a new name?

Has he reformed and stopped his nefarious schemes?

Has he died?

Anybody have any information on him?

The upcoming Lexington Show is why I asked the question. When I did a Show in Louisville in 2002, I think, I'm pretty sure he was set up directly behind me. The man's name was Faye, but I forget his last name. He had some beautiful knives on his table. Lots of etched blades.

This was before I even knew there was a "MyrtleFaye" on Ebay.

I have always suspected they were one and the same.

Isn't Gatewood aka tommygg101? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Charlie,I don't know what his name is.He was pointed out to me several years ago and he has the same table every year.I don't think Mr. Gatewood has a table,he just sets with the other guy.
I have heard "birds of a feather flock together".In this case it rings true.

So do the gentlemen in question have the same "product portfolio" at a knife show as they do on eBay?

I was wondering the same thing. I think that if they do, they are pretty brazen.

I don't stop at his table. From a distance they appear to be old used up knives.
