S`eller also has listed 2 Cattaraugus and a Challenge Cutlery knives. They are knives i have not seen other examples of but that does not necessarily mean fakes or re-worked.
Anyone care to comment on these ?

Re: very strange exceedingly strange Camillus
In the past few months this seller has put up a lot of cobbled fakes/reworks. I think Wayne started a thread about a Case barlow not long ago.
The odd Camillus knife posted - the frame is an old Case Tested era 6111 1/2 L frame. The blade does look like the blade from the Camillus "Red Cross" knife as someone posted.
Someone should ask the seller if the blade lock works - frame is clearly a lockback frame, but the Camillus blade is not a locking blade.

Using the mails to defraud is a heavy offense. How about email. I know it is a different animal with pictures and carefully worded descriptions but still, this is theft. Could become a new legal specialty.

I see that this Cam-Case lockback has been returned and is back on the market. Problem?

Re: very strange exceedingly strange Camillus
Greg - - I think the problem was the buyer got the knife and started searching background on the internet and found this thread - my guess is subsequently that cobbled contraption went back to the seller ...

And I think that you are 100% correct. It will be interesting to see if he sells it this time around and for how much.LongBlade wrote:Greg - - I think the problem was the buyer got the knife and started searching background on the internet and found this thread - my guess is subsequently that cobbled contraption went back to the seller ...
