Schrade Cut Co EO

Post by ea42 »

Hey folks, just a heads up, this knife is being described as minty and unused, but the blades have been significantly re-ground, likely to eliminate rust and pitting. The lack of a choil on either blade is a dead giveaway, as well as the nearly ground off upper tang stamp and the blade finish. Seems to be an awful lot of buffing compound left in that jigging too. This isn't a counterfeit, the knife itself is legit, but it's not factory fresh either. Not sure if the seller is aware of this but I grow weary of getting into Ebay arguments, and he does seem to sell a lot of knives, so I'm just putting this out there for anyone who might be interested in it:

Thanks for the heads-up Eric. I know the seller and have brought the stated concerns to his attention. When he responds I will repost.

That schrade would look much better if it was in original uncleaned condition. Well used knives that have been cleaned just look ::barf:: to me.

Grant is correct. The pearl handle Camillus 1047 Scout is a re-handle. Camillus NEVER put pearl on their 72s or 1047s. I sent the seller a message as follows..................

"In the interest of helping you maintain your 100% feedback score, you should know that what you have is a re-handle. Camillus never made a pearl handle 1047 (Scout version of the Camillus 72) or for that matter, they never made a pearl handle #72. It's a nice job and certainly worth what ever you can get out of it but it didn't come from the factory that way."

Did you notice that the only shot that is blurry is the one that shows the length of the blades in the well.

The Camillus is a knife from oldwalkandtalkknives. One of the many bogus pearl handle scouts this eBay seller, oldwalkandtalkknives, has sold.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

I see he made a few changes to the listing to reflect the cleaning, that's cool. Just to give you an idea here's what the knife looks like with full blades. This is the scout version but the regular non-scout knife was exactly the same:
