Electric Cut Co ??

Post by LanG »

I would appreciate help from the forum. The tang stamps on these two blades appear amateurish, but I've never seen
a real Electric Cut Co tang.
Thanks in advance for input, and let me know if better/different pics are needed.

Main blade is first two pics, and second blade is the last two pics:

The photos aren't really sufficient for determining authenticity of the knife but here's what I can see in the photos. The knife was heavily rusted and pitted. The blades have been resurfaced with abrasives. The photo of the stamp is not the best but it is probably a correct stamp that looks amateurish because of pitting and resurfacing with abrasives. From the small amount of the handle shown it is difficult to know for sure but what is shown of the bone looks typical for the brand.

Ideally, show a focused closeup of the stamp and photos of both sides of the whole knife with the blades fanned out, a photo of the springs with the blades opened, and photos of the well with the blades opened and closed.

In my opinion those stamps are ok. A lot of older stamps can be somewhat ragged.

Having difficulty getting more focused tang pics. Here's a shot at the other requests:

Thank all of you for the responses. I had this one up on ebay, but pulled the listing for fear it was fake.

Here are some Electric Cutlery stamps. Worse and worser. ::facepalm::

You have a very nice knife there, LanG.
Mine is pretty solid too.
I don't know what made them a secondary brand. Musta been the stamps. :D
