I don't think so...
I have been studying Schrades for many years and I have never seen anything like this- not the knife and not the general appearance of the the tang stamp. Schrade CutCo never made fixed blades, although they did let some tiny contracts with Kinfolks for some very low price-point fixed blades. I think this one is a fake. By the way, don't you get tired of people writing WW11 (World War Eleven)? They never heard of Roman numerals (WWII)?

Re: I don't think so...
Certainly looks like a Kinfolks made knife.
Sheath could be original but unusual for Kinfolks to be 2 layers stitched on the top portion. That said if contract made for Schrade by Kinfolks it isn't unusual to have the sheath constructed differently than for Kinfolks regular production knives. Much like the Remington knives made for LL Bean that had better quality sheaths.
Schrade Cut marked fixed blade knives are scarce but I don't doubt this one.

If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Cal,I have a similar pet peave with a local well known radio host.He calls Sept 11th.9 one one, instead of 9 eleven. It irritates the crap out of me.tongueriver wrote:I have been studying Schrades for many years and I have never seen anything like this- not the knife and not the general appearance of the the tang stamp. OK, I can trust your judgement. I would pay $40 for it any day. Thanks for the comments.btrwtr wrote:Certainly looks like a Kinfolks made knife. Schrade Cut marked fixed blade knives are scarce but I don't doubt this one.

You use a capital I instead of the number 1 to type WWII. I learned this the hard way myself.

I'm no expert by any means but I don't trust the stamp. For one, the stamp is slanted, and secondly, I've never seen a period after Walden. ("WALDEN.N.Y.")
Re: I don't think so...
The handle looks okay, but I don't like anything about the blade. The SCC FB I have is a 365, but I am uncertain of other patterns they sold. The fuller just looks weird on this one.
Looks WAY too new for my liking. Just my .02

Re: I don't think so...
The fuller is totally bogus, square on one end and round on the other and the stamp is slanted. Terry
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Yeah; I am going back to my original opinion; I don't like it. But why would anyone buy a bogus CutCo stamp to mark low price-point ugly knives?
Re: I don't think so...
I guess it beats being on-call for a shift at a low paying Walmart job. They buy a knife for $10 to $25 stamp it and list it at a Buy It Now price of $325.00, like the one you show here and see what happens. Not bad for one day's work, if it works and you have no conscience. Did you know Walmart has every employee's number and they text them to come in within an hour and do a shift or a split shift? The text could come in at any time too and you have to go in...so I heard.
Re: I don't think so...
Knife is right, sheath likely not, price is definitely wacko. Definitely a Kinfolks product. Anyways, knife is not a counterfeit,
