Is this an all original vintage Remington ?
I think the blades look more like stainless steel.

I cannot seem to get the listing picture to post here. I will keep trying.

I think they are original. They have been buffed and the 1 picture of the blades aren`t that good.I don`t know why you wouldn`t take more photos of the blades, tang stamps etc.No question on the frame and handles.

Thanks Roger. I don't know Remington knives very well but i am aware that fakes are fairly common, often with replaced blades.
I do not see any pitting so presumably the blades were in good condition and had a light buffing to brighten the surface ?
They don't look like the typical buffed blade to me.

The blades look to have been buffed unevenly to me. I'm thinking it was a very decent bullet before it was buffed.

Agreed. If the buffing removed the blade etch, then it was a dumb decision. Very nice bone on this example.

Both blades have superficial scratches running horizontally (lenghtwise). A buffer goes across the blade (edge to spine) rather than lengthwise.
How can this appearance be explained by buffing ?
Note: i am not disagreeing. I am trying to understand & learn something.

I should not have used a form of the word "buff" because I don't actually know the tools, technique, or process used to bring the blades to their exhibited state of shine. Likewise, I don't know what type of lighting was used in the process of photography (i.e, ambient light vs flash).

That knife looks right to me. Has obviously been cleaned. Probably with sandpaper, which is where the scratches came from. My guess and only a guess. Sure has some pretty handles.
