I know nothing about old Case knives but this knife does not look old and the handles look like Delrin.

What gets me are the number of bids and the dollar amount. I really feel sorry for the winner of this one.

The words vintage and antique are vague. Actually most words are vague. Even the word vague is vague.

OK I'll bite, was this built from the ground up as a fake? Was the tang ground down and re-stamped? What I can see, the delrin is not old enough for Case Bros., and the stamp is not crisp enough. I see scratches on the shield, was something filed off of it? Was there a Case Bros. knife in a similar pattern or is it a fantasy piece?

It doesn't look like any Case knife. Most likely a China or cheap Japan knife that has been restamped with a fake Case Bros stamp. ::td::

I think that is a stinker you could smell before you see it.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
