Bob,
At $50.00 I think the seller would be wise to let them go. That's several more dollars than they are worth.!! Coming out of Louisville as well they were probably put together there and sold very cheaply.

Both are awful fakes.

Those handles look to have more of a Halloween flare than Christmas tree. :D

I think the handles are what is called "Old Christmas Tree". It is not as common as Christmas Tree celluloid but it is not rare.
Often i can spot a fake or 're-work' but with these 2 knives i think you need to know Case to know that they are fakes.
Am i missing some obvious signs, ones not related to knowing Case patterns ?
