The dog ate my pocket knife.

Post by carpx »

I recently bought a Gerber silver knight 300 for an EDC. I left it in my pants pocket (foolish me)__and my dog chewed it through my pants, splintering the handle. I really wanted to carry that knife, so I bought a slab of water buffalo horn and carefully fitted it up, I thought it looked OK but the biggest surprise was how it felt...I made it about .040 thicker than the original handle, and the way it feels in hand is fantastic. I like the organic feel of the horn, and the added thickness gives great control...The repaired knife is the bottom one...

Looks great Rev! Nice save! ::tu::
Those small guys are a bit small for my hand so the extra thickness would be good! ::nod::
