LB7 Upgrade in Progress

Post by Jeffinn »

I did a bit of file work on the liners and the lock bar along with some mild work on the bolsters. I've got some new blades coming.

Still debating on handle materials. I'm not totally sold on either of the micarta's that I have (bone colored linen or black/black canvas)

I might have to order up some new handle materials.
More to come.

I’ll give the bone linen a try and see how it looks. I can always swap it out if I don’t like it.
Thanks for the feedback!

After a couple of different attempts with Micarta with unsatisfactory results I switched over to bone. I had some smooth marigold colored bone in a larger size that was just the right size for these LB7 handles. Pinned them on with some nickel silver pins and they’re ready to go. Once my new blades arrive I’ll be ready to assemble and finish.

Finally finished it up. It turned out pretty nice.
Smooth marigold bone handles and a bit of file work to dress it up.
