Christmas Present Custom
Christmas Present Custom
I haven’t posted many knives this year because I haven’t done much work, mainly and the year off to try and let my body heal a little bit.
About two weeks before Christmas, ladies church came over to our house and one of them wanted to get a knife for her husband for Christmas. She asked if I could finish a knife in time for Christmas. I said I thought so if she took one of the partially completed projects I had laying shop, or one of the more finished blades. Since there was not time to order any parts I had to work with the blanks and the material they had on hand.
What she chose was this Moore Maker fixed blade and a beautiful piece stag, actually the nicest set of stag handles I had in my shop. I was actually able to get it completed and make a stand for it as well because her son is making a cabinet for her husband to display his knives in. I made a display stand for the knife from antler and African padouk wood.
She was excited and very happy with the knife when I brought it to her at church on Sunday morning before Christmas. On Christmas day I got a text from her husband telling me how much he liked it.
I think in they are kind of into knives as a family because they got one of their sons a forge for Christmas so he could start making knives.
I’m glad they enjoyed the knife and help you enjoy the pictures.

Re: Christmas Present Custom
Thats not only a very attractive knife but also looks like it would feel good in hand and be comfortable to use.
