Wow, what changes ! From 'Ho-Hum' to jumps up and grabs you.
The lapis blue i am surprised i find it so attractive. It looks 'Rich' and confident somehow.
Glen, truly great work along with the artistic 'eye' to match handle with suitable pattern.

I really like the stag one. Is that a Fremont Jack? Really like the blade.

Lapis just happens to be a personal favorite of mine, both the stone and the color. I am smitten by your S&M. A wonderful and exciting piece. Congratulations on your work.

I believe that is a Fremont. I really like their look with the roughly finished areas on the blade.doglegg wrote:I really like the stag one. Is that a Fremont Jack? Really like the blade.
Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Did you take the knife completely apart or to can you replace those scales by just removing the scales and pins.

That is a complete dis-assembly and rebuild. It is possible to do a re-scale without taking it apart, but much more difficult to re-pin everything.
Re: Northwoods and a Schatt
I'm always worried about damaging the bolster removing and re-pinning the pivot pin. I guess I need to learn how to safely to it. Buy some cheep knives and just go for it. Learning from mistakes can sometimes be the best teacher.glennbad wrote:PCwizard wrote:Glennbadglennbad wrote:Here's 2 I recently finished.
