A neat KeenKutter

Post by glennbad »

When I first saw this knife floating around the forums, I had never seen one like it. It was such a different pattern, I liked it right away. Eventually, I was contacted to work on it, which I feel was a cool honor.

Here's a before shot.

For the replacement bone, we chose a smooth ivory bone. Here's the finished product.

Inspirational work! And I really love the Ivory bone covers you chose for this knife. I really haven't gotten beyond Jantz and ebay for buying cover material and, besides some man-made ones, I don't recall seeing Ivory bone listed. Do you die your own or can you recommend a good and trustworthy online store?

Thanks everyone!

I buy all my bone from Culpepper. Best in the business, IMO. I have always wanted to dye and jig my own bone, but they already do such a good job at it, why work harder, when you can work smarter.
