This is Different

Different but I like it. Not $55 worth but still........ He says the screwdriver blade & lock has been removed, an EZ-Open notch added and it's been restored with custom two tone natural canvas and paper micarta. Nice job.

He's a member over at BF. He's doing some decent work. Guess I'll have to step up my game.

I've seen work you have done that I liked a lot better than this knife. In fact I've got one of yours sitting on the desk beside me as I type.

I agree with Phil, Glenn. Based on that example he has a ways to go to catch up with your eye for design and your ability to execute the design.

Not a bad job, but I think the shield placement on the line joining the two pieces is too busy and detracts from the design.

The price is good, especially considering the cost of knife and materials. He certainly isn't getting rich at that price.

Design-wise, I would get rid of the shield, it is too small and the wrong shape. Also I would have the material meet on a diagonal line. I think that would have a better flow to the design. - - - just my opinion.

And I think the two colors compliment each other and the shield ties them together. It's all in the eye of the beer holder.

It's a very unique looking knife. I kinda like the two tone thing it has going on. I see what you're saying about the shield tying the Corliss together. But I think it'd look better higher up, maybe a bit more styalized. But over all I like it.

I agree that it is different, and well done too. It is not to my taste, at least on first sight, but I kind of suspect that if it were in my hand I might learn to like it.
