2OT clone

Post by glennbad »

Inspired by the 2OT work that Dale (IIRC) did some time back, I had set out to try to mod a clone of my own. Since 2OT's are kinda scarce and expensive, I built one on a..what else, a TL-29 frame. I had it sitting on my bench for a year or so waiting to be hafted and finished, I finally got tired of it laying there.

So, it's not a Schrade, but I kinda like how it came out. Here it is with some well-used examples of the real thing.

Very nice work Glenn! ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

If you can just find someone in the US to engrave the bolsters like Tony did with the one I made for him, it will look even more like a 2OT.
BTW, Great choice in bone! ::nod::

You're the TL master Glen. I've noticed you have a good eye for matching colors, that looks like the originals in most every way. ::tu:: ::tu::

That turned out great Glen. Is there anything you guys can't do with a TL29?

That thing is Gorgeous!

I love the pattern and to see you craft one from a TL-29....That's just amazing. I would love to see what you could do refurbishing an actual 2 OT!

Are you interested in trying it?

Sounds interesting, what would you mean by refurbishing? My only concern is regarding taking anything apart that has existing covers, there is always a great chance of things getting damaged.

PM or email me to discuss further, thanks.
