I guess you just have to take that stuff as it comes??
OR can you see what you are getting before you buy it?

::tu::
Yes to both. You can see what it looks like on the outside, but until you start sanding away, it's a little hard to see what's underneath

PS I've now created a problem ... having found the photo of the Boker ... I'm actually not sure where the actual knife is ::teary_eyes::

I just made it out of NS bar stock, then ground it to shape.

That stag is just plain GNARLY man!! BEAUTIFUL work! WOW.... I'm with Dale.... the rear bolsters on these TL-29s sure makes them into REAL eye catchers! Your work sends the TL-29 into a totally different category!

Amazing work Glenn!

Some of the material you used on the scales is just plain eye popping!

What is the white material in the bottom photo?
That stuff is gorgeous!

Maybe you need to go to your shop and make a couple more to show off Glenn.

Thanks fellas!

Mike, that material isn't white, I just take bad pictures, LOL. It's actually a pink pearl acrylic. I can't recall who I made the knife for, but it was for his wife I believe, so she had something to use while gardening.

LOL... sorry.... I am probably in the category of people who can't tell one color from the next.

Man... that is some beautiful stuff. I know your wife is happy to have one of your nice creations.

LOL, my wife couldn't care less about my hobby. She sees it as a time waster (taking time from her or the honey-do list), but I imagine she knows I enjoy it, so she let's me play without too much grief.

LOL!
After a few years of retirement Ive learned to balance my knife mechanic time with some home chores and a few things off the honey-do list on a regular basis. My wife knows I need to keep my mind occupied so she kinda goes with the flow when it comes to me and my hobbies.

Still debating whether it needs a shield/badge or not. Klein tools electrician knife, screwdriver removed, hand made nickel silver bolsters and pins installed, stainless steel pivot pin (trying something new), and smooth red bone handles. There’s a slight shade difference in the red handles but they’re close enough.
