Eye Witness

Post by glennbad »

This knife had been well used and probably put away wet as well, but it's still got some life left. It had old shrinking black synthetic scales. I cleaned it up a bit(rust only) and gave it some nice old-looking stag. She's ready to go now!

Very nice! That looks to be a wharncliffe blade.

Looks awesome!

Stock black composition scales on Eye Witness knives are just plain gross after they have shrunken. I carried a Lambsfoot from Eye Witness for quite some time, and had lost it, and eventually replaced it with an A. Wright with wood handles. Eventually, I did find it, and am thinking about getting better handles put on it, as there is more than 1/8" of shrinkage, as well as paint and glue residue from the previous owner.

Nice work as usual Glenn. That stag has some nice character to it.

Glenn, the stag you put on suits that knife perfectly and your workmanship is superb, as always! That piece of stag on the mark side is particularly gorgeous! ::tu:: ::tu::

That is a beautiful mod. Love that antique stag...gorgeous. 8) ::tu::

That Eye Witness is basically the same model as this one I had Barry (BIGHEAD) mod for me except the grooved bolsters makes me think the OP knife is probably a lot older. (Hope you don't mind me including photos of mine here for comparison...not to hijack your thread, Glenn) :)
