Old K.K.E.O.

Post by Ridgegrass »

Got this last weekend. Nice blades, just dirty. Might leave them that way. Pattern stamped 2765BL . E.C. Simmons pre-1940. Iron bolsters, brass liners, half stops. Looks like cocobolo or a lighter variation of ebony. By Walden ?, Winchester ? Walks and talks like an alligator! J.O'.

That's a nice knife. I like ebony any way. And the shield is nicer than most in that 'federal' pattern. Camillus also did that pattern shield a little nicer than some.

Could also be rosewood.

Thanks Gents, really happy to have gotten it. That shield is a cut above most of them, big and sharp. :D J.O.

Nice one, J.O'. ::tu:: Sellens says that pattern was in the catalogs from 1921 through to 1938. I would believe yours is Winchester made.

Very nice find. ::tu:: ::nod::

From your picture I would guess Rosewood too, but Sellers says Cocobolo.
