Got Catt scouts? Let’s see them!

The Cattaraugus Cutlery Company was started by John Champlin and his son Tint in 1882. It was first incorporated under the name J.B.F. Champlin and Son as a wholesale distribution company based in Little Valley, New York. The business proved to be a successful endeavor, and it soon branched into a knife production company named Cattaraugus.

Got Catt scouts? Let’s see them!

Post by Mumbleypeg »

Cattaraugus made several different official BSA Scout knives, and many unofficial scout/utility patterns. Let’s see what’s out there in the AAPK member collections. Here are a few of mine to get things started. There are a lot of Catts along with the other brands in the “All scout knives” thread (these are there also) but this thread is for only the Catts in one thread. ::tu:: (Before anyone asks, those are two different Whit-l-Kraft knives).

Thanks to you both for showing those nice examples. Cattaraugus is well-known for their bone, but they made some beautiful pearls too. You don’t see it on the scout patterns very often.

John those are some nice examples, very representative of Cattaraugus scouts.

Dimitri, why did I know you’d have some too?

Thanks to you both for showing them. ::tu::
