It is an interesting one. When I searched on the web, it brought me a description on an Antique & Collectible knives page that said it is from the 1930's. I am just wondering if anyone has a catalog picture?paulsvintage wrote:Hi . yes its a # 12124 dog bone catt its very rare. got it from 54rodgers a few years agoknifegirl888 wrote:Paul,
I haven't seen a knife like the last one pictured. Is it a Catt also?

No picture of a 12124 but Ferguson has a picture of a 12114 that I would like to find. 4 5/8 inch odd looking tooth pick but no dog bone bolster.

I just looked that up in the Ferguson catalog. That's a nice one also!

Here is the book that I have and a scan of the knife that JKB mentioned. I did not find your "dog bone" knife listed in it though. Maybe it might be in another catalog?

How do you keep that Ferguson book so nice looking? Mine is all grungy and dog eared and the pages are all loose. We just had about 14 inches of snow and I am getting cabin fever. I really need a good auction.

I am sure it will get dirty over time. My Goins book is already practically falling apart... I love the knife books & don't mind buying them when I have a couple extra bucks to spare.

That coke bottle has a blade etch that says something like "Stern & Chenoweth, Hand Forged _________ted."

That's the best I can do right now, until I get my digital camera back. All I currently have to take pictures with is my cell phone, and it sucks. Here's the only other picture that I didn't post, don't think it's going to help you any though.

I took a few more pictures last night, just can't get a clear tang stamp or blade etch picture with my cell phone camera. I think the etch says "Stearns & Chenoweth" then "Hand Forged (Warranted or Patented)" on the blade. By the way, is this ebony or cocobolo? Thanks!

Kathy asked me about taking the kids on a vacation this summer, and where I would like to go. I said I don't know about the kids, but if it was up to me, I would go to Iowa and see JACKNIFEBEN's collection.....
