I enjoy the female blues guitar playing of Samantha Fish. I love the way she builds this finale to a frenzy (Black Wind Howling)...
She has more talent in her little finger than most of the mainstream so called "musicians" have in their entire collective.. she's been one of my favorites since I discovered her a few years ago.

Here's on of my favorite covers of "Dead flowers" by Samantha Fish.
Love her!
I watched this special on Buddy Guy last week and really enjoyed it, as a way to find out who he really is and as Chicago Blues history. I think it's well worth an hour of your time if you're a blues enthusiast.

First time I have gone through this list of guitarists. Some of my favorites already posted here.My first blues album I bought was Lightnin' Hopkins back in 1961. Still have a bunch of his albums and singles. Got into Howlin' Wolf and John Lee Hooker after that.
One of the greatest guitarists ever has to be Stanley Jordan. There is a You tube video of him playing Stairway to Heaven on two guitars simultaneously! Saw him do it on Austin City Limits once.I think he was 19 years old at the time.
Leo Kottke seems like he has about 15 fingers on each hand when he is playing. Mike Bloomfield was fantastic when he was playing with the Paul Butterfield band.Their first two albums were superb.
Saw John Mayall in Boston once when he was using two guitarists for percussion and Johnny Almond playing keyboards.
I would agree that Junior Brown is another unheralded guitar player.Watched him perform for over two hours straight under a tent in 90 plus degree weather wearing a polyester suit!He and his two sidemen never stopped;going from one song to another and they finished up with about a 15 minute version of Purple Haze!
One of the greatest new talents on the scene is Robert Randolph.First time I saw him on Austin City Limits I couldn't believe it!
Los Lobos is another fine group with a couple of great guitarists;one left handed. Way too many more.

Very good Ken, that tis a most excellent list of talented people. Will check out the dudes I'm not familiar with; and yes, JB is one awesomely talented dude. Year's 'n year's of hard work, mixed with a lot of fun, makes for some of the best guitar work I have ever seen. And that says a lot, I've seen some purty fine talent in my short years.

Hate to sound like a broken record, but just finished watching the Junior & Tonya Rae Brown show, live from their living room. It has become a fixture for me Wednesday and Friday nights - COVID Pandemic entertainment I guess. Never get tired of watching such great musical talent. Here for your viewing and listening pleasure is the archived show from tonight.

Surprised no one has posted anything from this rock guitar pioneer. He was one of the first, if not the first. Set the standard for Hendrix, Page, etc.

Jim Heath ain’t too shabby. About 2:30 into this he starts some serious picking. Note that he plays a Gretsch. And I guess I know now why they call that a “stand up bass”!
