Damascus and leather

Post by Rossr »

While I dont forge Damascus I sometimes buy a sheet and make a knife from it. This is the case for these two blades. Leather sheaths go back a few years before I was doing linings.

I should run out of pics sooner than later.

Enjoy

Ross

Very kind. I appreciate the compliment. Its interesting though we live in a strange world today of social media and forums etc. We all tend to post and only see the highlight reel of what we do make etc. What I have been posting is for sure some of my nicest and more recent work. However if i hadn't tried to make a knife and then sheaths all those years ago and then keep making learning and improving I would be making what I do now. By the same token if I continue the journey I wonder where I will be in 10 years or more.

I really think it's important not.to lose sight of this, . it's better to start and learn and do. I hope folks.post anything they make and then we can all help each other along the journey. Making stuff is a lot of fun and it engages your body spirit and mind. Teachimg what u know helps not only further others but yourself. I'll step off my soap box now but I hope folks remember we all start somewhere and it's a worthy journey

Best and thanks

Ross

Beautiful! The top one, is a case, where I like knife and sheath separately...but; together, they really complement each other!!! ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::
