Sharping stone Base
Sharping stone Base
My son gave me a 10x3'' Arkansas Novaculite wet stone for Christmas. I have considerable amount of Arkansas stones already but this stone is perfect for large knives. I had some old oak laying around so I made a base for the stone. Just thought I would share.
Sorry about the picture. I don't know why it shows up like that? Re: Sharping stone Base
Nice job on that base.
You will like that stone.
A perfect size for kitchen knives and the Novaculite "grit" is a good general purpose sharpener.
A very thoughtful gift from your son.
I have one in 12" that I like.
I built a base for it with an attachment to mount in a vise. All of which was unnecessary.
I prefer to use the stone at the sink with water.
