Thank you Rick. I have the same knife but with ebony handles. I got it from Charlie C. and it think it is not a BF knife.

I remember those. Maybe that one was the #35 debut. They came out about the same time as the BF knife but I'm not sure which one was released first.kootenay joe wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 4:19 pm Thank you Rick. This was a crazy drop. Struck out on several and was glad to land this giraffe bone in the end.

2011 Indian River Jack
Greetings to all from Kalamazoo, Michigan!
I am new to the world of knives but I managed to acquire a Northwoods Indian River Jack with Gabon Ebony covers about 6 months ago and it is my one and only knife that I carry (in a leather slip) in my pocket.
Being from Michigan, I found the "Northwoods - Gladstone, Mich - USA" stamp on the blade tang quite appealing.
My research regarding this particular 2011 IRJ release (which I rarely see represented in photos from folks' collections) also indicates that this run was manufactured by Queen Cutlery and that the blade is made of Hitachi ATS-34 stainless steel - not something I have seen in any other Northwoods knives.
Furthermore, the thin and slicy spearpoint blade in this IRJ has the incredible convex grind by Bark River Knives (also from Michigan), which has not been seen in any subsequent run of Northwoods folding knives.
I simply found this particular 2011 Northwoods Indian River Jack to check every possible box for ME and thus it has become my prized EDC slip joint for any and all occasions!
PEACE!
