Re: Sold Out In Under 10 Seconds
I love that knife, but not a $500 love affair.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Here's number three to show up on eBay...all are the wood handle model (no blue camel bones...yet). The prices seem to be coming down; this seller has his listed for $399 with free shipping.

Re: Sold Out In Under 10 Seconds
This is curious. This knife was listed for $425/OBO and after a few days it showed that it had sold for "Best offer accepted"
https://www.ebay.com/itm/185152131616?h ... 7675.l2557
Today, however, I see the exact same knife from the same seller (using the same photos) has been listed AGAIN for $425/OBO:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/185156336087?h ... R6icldShXw
It's the exact same knife, not a different one that the seller managed to get from KSF. So, I wonder what gives? Buyer's remorse, perhaps...the buyer changed his mind after his offer was accepted? Or, maybe the buyer is just screwing with the seller because he's a Flipper (I've been tempted to do that myself a time or two, but decided it wasn't worth it to ruin my rating on eBay for non-payment.)

Re: Sold Out In Under 10 Seconds
So if a guy landed one in the future and wanted cost plus a hard to find RR he probably wouldn't be considered a bad guy?

Re: Sold Out In Under 10 Seconds
I recently had a non-payer on one of my auctions. Turns out he was based in China with 8 transactions, 7 0f which were non-pays. I don't under stand why ebay would let someone like that hang around.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 4:53 am This is curious. I hear ya Cody. They are both out of my price class as well so I just enjoy seeing other people's knives. Can't have everything.

Re: Sold Out In Under 10 Seconds
The first Blue Camel Bone Lookout Jack to appear on eBay and the Seller/Flipper (Slipper?) is asking "only" $599.00. Surely any knife collector here would agree that this is a reasonable mark-up BTW: This is just me being ironic...or is it sarcastic?...I can never remember which is worse. But, either way, I certainly hope I haven't offended anyone by exposing the "Invisible Hand" of Capitalism. (again, that's meant to be sarcastic).

I'd say you pegged it Q with buyers remorse or some clown screwing with the seller. After all, it is Fleabay!QTCut5 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 4:53 am This is curious. This knife was listed for $425/OBO and after a few days it showed that it had sold for "Best offer accepted"

Re: Sold Out In Under 10 Seconds
There's another one with a wharncliffe blade Q with an asking price of US$999.00, so it would appear we have folks attempting to get rich overnight! Who'd a thunk it!QTCut5 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 7:11 pm The first Blue Camel Bone Lookout Jack to appear on eBay and the Seller/Flipper (Slipper?) is asking "only" $599.00. Another Blue Camel Bone Lookout is up for grabs on eBay.
$549.95/OBO
https://www.ebay.com/itm/363614939326?_ ... %3A2047675
I wonder why these aren't selling as fast on the secondary/flipper market as they did during the initial release?
I mean, for such an (apparently) popular knife, you'd think price would not be an obstacle.

Did you get yours from KSF or from a flipper?
Can't help but wonder if you would have still purchased one if you had to pay 3-4 times as much as it sold for on KSF?

A drop tomorrow, some really nice covers.
Re: Sold Out In Under 10 Seconds
I'm the same and I prefer old pocket knives , in the uk GEC and Northwood go for silly money, and flipping happens here as well, I had a gec half whittler that I won on a Raffle a few years back , carried it a bit but then it just sat in a draw so I gave it to a friend , most slipjoint groups on FB are full of people showing GEC's & Northwoods , you can tell they dint actually carry them, shame really as there made to be used, or in there case put away as investments I supposeOLDE CUTLER wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 9:46 pmMe neither.
