Beautiful knives Wayne, rarely ever see them with cocobolo handles.
Re: MSA and Marble's fixed blades.
Some of the sheaths are as scarce or scarcer than the knives. Very nice collection!

Yepper...most impressive indeed !!! You do not come up with that group overnite,
thats for sure....
Them big 7 & 8 inch Ideal's are something when ya hold them in your hand, huh Wayne !!!
That one Ideal tword the bottom left, 4 pin Stag, smooth handle...when they 1st came out
with the Ideal, they smoothed a lot of the Stag bark off of them to give em more of a Ivory look,
I have noticed at shows and auctions I been too over the yrs, them that look like that always brought
in the highest selling price even versus a Stag handle with lots of character...
Thanks for sharing a bit of history with all of us !!!

Re: MSA and Marble's fixed blades.
Wayne, what a magnificent gathering! Good show! . I only have two Marbles, and the 7" Ideal does not have a sheath. Some wonderful sheaths in your presentation.
Re: MSA and Marble's fixed blades.
I think if you own 2 of those knives it's impressive. But that collection is mind blowing. Thanks for showing us Wayne
Re: MSA and Marble's fixed blades.
Very nice Wayne!! Now you just need to buy my ivory/ivory Ideals at Mystic to compliment your collection! (LOL)

Re: MSA and Marble's fixed blades.
Thanks all for the kind comments. I have been a fan of the old Marble's knives for some time. I've let some go that I may never be able to replace but so it goes with knife collecting. I wish I at least had some pictures of some of the more prized knives I have let go in the past.
One of many reasons I am thankful for AAPK for is that I have taken pictures of many of my knives to share with others here. I also have a good photo record of these knives for my personal reference.
Here are some more original Marbles Ideal pattern knives with a range of 4 1/2' to 8" blades. Various times of production.

Re: MSA and Marble's fixed blades.
That's the most wonderful "Marbles" collection I have ever seen.
Actually, not a collection, Museum would be a better description. Excellent!!!

More nice ones Wayne!! I know what you mean about not having photos of ones that you let go. A couple years ago I sold my ivory/ivory Woodcraft at Parker's show and never got a photo of it and it was the only one many advanced Marbles collectors had ever seen. I got a pocket full of cash for it but the buyer barely got ten feet from my table and I regretted selling it.
