Stripe Credit Card Processing

Post by Jeffinn »

Is anyone using this as a payment option for their store?
I know its not an integrated solution so I assume you have to send out invoices to get paid but I'm just wondering if anyone has used that feature to get paid?
I'm trying to make another payment option available so I don't have to rely on Paypal.
Thanks.
Jeff

I've never used them, but I did some brief looking for a friend. I would probably make sure they are OK with businesses that sell knives. Check this link:

Under one of the sections talking about the restricted businesses, it says this. Pocket knives *shouldn't* be an issue, but you might want to make sure.

The other thing you need to know is that you can only obtain funds after either 2 days or 7 days from the transaction (depends on if they consider your business "high risk"). So, don't expect to make a big sale and then transfer the money out the next day. If that's not an issue, then it seems like a good product to me. I think it might have the ability to invoice, but I think it might be an extra cost. For any credit card processor, make sure you fully understand all the ways you can be charged. Credit card processors love their fees...
