only 2 henckels

Post by terryl308 »

Ha ha, I have twice as many as Jerry! I have a little lobster with the tang stamps JAHENCKELS , ZILLINGS (2nd line), and WERK (3rd line), also has the "twins" on top. The scales or covers are silver and have a really light checkered pattern that you can't hardly see (pocket worn?) The opposite side of the main blade has "Friedur" stamped on it. Not sure of it's age. The butcher knife is one I bought new in the 80's and is a carbon steel skinner knife with the twins stamped on it and JA Henckels Twin Works, Solingen, Germany and the numbers 55-6". It is just a "working" knife nothing fancy but I have used it a lot skinning hogs. It is a 3 rivet wooden handled knife. Just showing my entire collection. I would like to know about how old the lobster knife is. Thanks, Terry PS Jerry, your Henckels is a lot nicer than mine! ::handshake::

That butcher knife has a look and style that could have been produced in the 1880s as well as the 1980s when you bought it. :)
The little metal lobster is from the 1950s.
