Henckels carbon blades
Henckels carbon blades
Can anyone tell age of this one? It has black bone handles, carbon steel blades, 1780 on the backside tang of the master blade. Front side reads under the twins J.A. Henckels over solingen
Re: Henckels carbon blades
Nice example and it is a post WWII variation but pre 1960 when Henckels stopped making their own pocket knives. Is their a letter "P" after the 1780 model number?montemojo wrote:Can anyone tell age of this one? It has black bone handles, carbon steel blades, 1780 on the backside tang of the master blade. Re: Henckels carbon blades
Hi Mason, thanks for the info. There is no P after 1780. I picked it up at local flea mkt yesterday 40 bucks. Thats what I was hoping for I didnt know if it were a contract knife or not. I have a couple more that I'm sure one is a contract knife the other's a counterfeit. I guess a blind hog can find an acorn every now and then. thanks for dating that one. I honestly had no clue.
