Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY

Nice finds everybody!
I managed to pick up an AW Wadsworth & Sons Germany Easy Opener, an unmarked shadow pattern small sheepsfoot jack knife with jigged stag scales, 1943 Joseph Rodegrs Army knife and a 1946 HM Slater Army knife today.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY

An unusual all metal EZ opener with nickle scales, stainless blade and carbon steel spring and shackle. I'd saty this combo puts it between 1918 and 1945.An unusual makers stamp as well.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY

Nice pearl there Iron Hoarder and Zoogirl. DJ, that is a great looking fixed blade...especially the sheath work. Found this lonely stockman looking for a home. Henckel 1929 in stag. Every blade is stamped and the main is etched. Couldn’t leave it behind. 43216C02-0E59-4FA8-9CFE-42426EDF62EE.jpeg AE...

Got some good scrounging in this past weekend. The Joseph Rodgers wire cutter multi tool circa WWI is the rarest find but the unusual folding scissors are a great find too.

Is this associated with Challenge Cutlery?

I picked this up years ago and have never been able to figure out exactly what it is. I think it should have a glass tube or something held between the circular ends. Any ideas or thoughts on if it is associated with Challenge Cutlery?

A short visit to New York

I don't suppose any or you folks live near the Upper West Side in Manhattan do you? I'll be there for a few days Sunday through Wed for work. Wouldn't mind a little knife hunting in the evenings If I can manage to get out.

He would have replaced the main blade too but didn't have one the right size. He also pointed out that getting the bolster work back right after that would be nearly impossible so he just reshaped what was there.

In great shape if some idiot hadn'yt used the main blade as a pry bar. Stan Shaw replaced the corkscrew.
