Case Brothers antique bone. Just received it last week.

I'm going against the grain here. I have a CV Sodbuster Jr. Never much cared for it. Just something about the blade shape I don't like.
I don't mean to bad mouth it. Just not my kind of knife.

Personally, I love the yellow handles Case knives, even though I only own one. One of these days I'll pick up a yellow full size Trapper to go with my yellow Mini Trapper.

I've also bought the brown paper from a guy on Ebay. He lists it from time to time. I don't see it listed today, but if you check in the next couple days, I'll bet it shows up again. Search under "knife tissue".

I'd just oil it and leave it like it was when your Grandpa had it. If you restore it, it would be like erasing all those memories. Just my opinion.

I've always been curious about something. Does anyone here use a case fishing knife to clean and/or filet fish? Seems like the blade would be too short. Is it actually useful, or is the knife more of a gimmic?

I've often wondered that myself. With that pointy handle, it looks to me like it was designed to wear a hole in your pocket.

I used to carry a Case medium stockman, but for the past few months, I've been carrying a full size, natural bone Trapper. Really starting to like the large folders.

It's at least 46 years old. Pay for the repairs.

I'm very satisfied with all my Case knives. I'm sure in the future I'll buy more.

I doubt you'll receive a bill. The Case repair department is first rate.
