Re: New to the knife making game
They are used for harvesting herbs and are used by Wiccans/Spiritualist etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boline I had never heard of one until she showed me a picture and asked if I could make some. (She plans on selling them on her online store) Getting an edge inside the curve is a real pain. Th...

New to the knife making game
So my wife made a request for me to make her some Boline knives. So, I gladly accepted her request and have stared this adventure about 2 months ago. Been doing a lot of reading, had my brother cut some steel blanks for me, and have been purchasing tools. I can see the Harbor Freight Belt 1x30 belt ...

Re: Got me stumped
My thoughts exactly in regards to a stamping where you would typically find one. The is nothing there. It is a lock back knife, and there has been some re-pinning. The mother of pearl scales towards the top have pins all the way through that keep the blade from closing entirely. I am confident it is...

Got me stumped
Hello all! It has been forever and a day since I have been talking on the forums, although I do check in and read! So I have picked up a new knife, and this one I cannot figure out. It is dated, has stamped scales, as they are the same on both sides, other than one would be upside down. Mother of pe...

Unknown Stamp
It has been ages since I have posted!
However I have picked a couple knives I have been researching and can find no info.
Any ideas on what company had this stamp? It says I-D Cigars
Click on photo for larger image.
Thanks for any help received!

Re: The Praying Hands Pocket knife
$400 was the asking price of this relic... It is neat looking but I can't say I could spend that money on a knife in this bad of shape, with no evidence of any historical significance.

The Praying Hands Pocket knife
This knife is in a local antique store, and the tag states it was found at Ft. Sumner, no scales, and as you can see the old pocket knife has seen better days.
Any guesses on the price they are asking for this item?
Picture was taken with a camera phone so not the greatest!

The pavillion, the 1st building to the right as you pull in, there are signs so you can't miss it. Admission is $5, Sunday is 10am-4pm. Ardie's Coins booth has a PAL knife that was decent, Easy Open pattern, cracked handle and some wear and tear, they were askin $15 which I think it should be about ...

Re: New finds of the day!
Huff's Antique show at the Metra in Billings. There is one booth with many knives, but he knows what he has and they are priced accordingly. There was a Marbles Safety knife priced at about $850 there as well. I paid no more than $20 for the schrade which was the most expensive of my purchases. The ...

That Miller Bros knife I picked up at a great price at an antique show
I am fairly certain the scales are ivory as well.
I have yet to put it under the magnifying glass to try and confirm.
