Re: Bought as USA Sharpfinger but don't think it is

The tang stamp seems consistent with the China-made Schrades... . I can't believe someone would lie about a knife like that for just a few bucks. They clearly stated US knife and although I should have did even the slightest bit of checking out what I was buying I wouldn't be in this situation anyw...

Bought as USA Sharpfinger but don't think it is

This is a China knife right? I just was wanting a US made sharpfinger and this one was listed on eBay as a US sharpfinger. I saw the older looking sheath and bought the knife. It never occurred to me until just now when I went to examine my new additions that my knife didn't have tang stamps and sai...

I picked up my first Case Razor today. I really like this knife and I'm getting a thing for white bone as well. Let's see your Case Razors and tell us what you think of them

Knife storage cases

Can someone tell me where they get their zippered knife cases with elastic loops like so many people use. My last one is almost full and I need one. I am used to paying like 20 bucks for these things but I see them on eBay for more than that now. Am I just an old fart that needs to pony up and pay t...

Re: Funny looking Case stag

IMG_20240602_182331743.jpgThe shield side of this knife has almost purple looking tones in it. Has anyone else ever had stag look like this? I didn't buy it new so it could be a rehandle job but I don't think so. Does this hurt the value of this knife? The pattern number on the tang should be 52048...

Re: Weak spring on Bear and Son auto or something else

Hi I bought the same knife when they first came out and it would only open half way. I bought it around 2020 and came across it earlier this year and sent it back to bear saying it didn’t open all the way from new I received it back after 6 weeks after I complained where’s my knife.I only did this ...

Weak spring on Bear and Son auto or something else

Picked this up at SMKW a few years back and I tried it before I bought it and then bought it knowing that it didn't open fast and seemed to just barely open when I pushed the button. I was just wanting It so bad and I figured it would get better with a little oil. But it didn't and it still is like ...

I didn't think my other post had went through, sorry about the double post about the same thing. I'm dumb at this computer/Internet stuff. It makes sense what you are saying though. I just couldn't understand it but I get it now.

My new Rough Rider liner lock

I don't see how they can make this knife in China, ship it to the United States, and then sell it for 15 bucks and still make money. It's a good edc knife. It's built strong and the fit and finish isn't bad at all. I love the handles on this one too. It may have a spot in my carry rotation.

Arc Angel Value

I've had this knife since 2010 and it wasn't new then. It's never been sharpened and although one of the pics looks like it has a rust spot it doesn't and only has dirt and grime and a few spots on it where its carbon steel. I could easily remove those with an eraser but I don't want to do anything ...

Henckel knife questions(shield fell off)

I have looked at a Henckel tang stamp thread but I couldn't make sense out of it because according to what was shown this was an old knife when I know it isn't that old. Could anyone date this knife for me and tell me if Henckel actually made it or not because it looks just like a Boker to me. Sorry...

Re: 1990 Fight N Rooster

I made a post in the knife repair asking if anyone would be interested in rehandling my knives. Does anyone have a guess at what it costs to get someone to do this? My other option is to take them to the knife show in Lexington in August and sell them to someone who can take care of them right.

I just saw a used 49p on eBay for 30 bucks plus shipping. It's used but in pretty good shape. I wish I could find a better looking one to match my other knives but this may be my only chance to get one because I hardly ever see them for sale. Should I pull the trigger? Agree with Ken . Re: 1990 Fight N Rooster

Thank you, I removed it and it's similar cousin to an empty knife roll I had laying around. I hate to hear that because it's a well made knife and I love the red color. Knife rolls and celluloid are a combustible mix. Knife rolls originated as “salesman’s rolls” - a convenient way for traveling kni...

Re: 1990 Fight N Rooster

The handles on that knife are celluloid. Celluloid is notorious for breaking down chemically and giving off caustic fumes that can and will damage metal knife parts. One visual clue that "off gassing" or "gassing out" (terms used to describe this chemical breakdown) is that the ...

Concerns on the equal end case knife my wife ordered for me from dustyduck. Hell Doesn't Close At Night 1990 1 of 800 on the main blade. It has several cracks in the scales. What causes those cracks besides dropping the knife or something like that. I've babied it for 20 years and it's gotten another crack or two since I have had it.
