I see a lot of chefs on TV using ceramic knives, so had to have a couple. Any body know a good way to sharpen them when they get dulled?

Re: Lets see your butcher style knives and related items!
I gave my daughter a set of Buck Knive cutlery for her first marriage. They cost me a fortune, glad to give them to her. I cannot find them anywhere, would like to give a set to my new wife. Any info? Thanks, Dennis.

Blueing and blade coloring
There seems to be a lot of interest in coloring steel. That is a whole complete topic that will probably fit into a lot of our forum member's interest. For a real complete tutorial go to caswellplating.com and request a catalog, it's free and will answer a lot of questions. I have used them and brow...

Re: Using PayPal For Selling Knives
I haven't sold anything on ebay as of this time, but have made a few buys (so far they've been satisfactory). They keep wanting me to register and let them blindly access my checking account, NO WAY ebay.

Re: Rust blueing a blade
Here's one that I parkerized. That is a zinc phosphate process that is a flat dark gray finish that is porous so it absorbs oil, good rust preventer. It hides rough surfaces that have been rusty.

Re: Rust blueing a blade
Here's a quick blueing process that I use to touch up guns. The old Shrade/Walden on the bottom was badly rusted and pitted when I got it and I cleaned it up and blued with this stuff. Don't try the caustic blue proccess that you do guns with, the lye in the formula eats up a lot of scale materials....

More about Damascus
My wife worked for a major chicken producer for 30 plus years and they sold her a box full of their butchering steel knives that were sharpened down to the point of being unusable for next to nothing. I also have some cobalt welding rod, and gobs of carbon steel from tools and knives to work with. M...

Re: Have you ever found a knife
Here's one I found. It didn't have any scales and was badly rusted. The new scales I made from the ebony black keys from a late 1800's piano that I rescued from the dump, I also got some real ivory keys and a bird's eye sustain bar from it. the knife is about 2.5 inches long closed, cute but not muc...

OK, now you are hooked, there are so many choices out there, I carry a Shrade lockback in a case with a Gerber multi-tool. Also a Vitrionix little tool in my bill fold. That's part of getting dressed in the morning. Picture enclosed. Welcome aboard.
