Re: Help Identifying This Type of Knife

I have a VERY strange question. Can someone put together knives using parts where you come up with a different knife? I’m now looking up an Anvil PROV USA Patent # 3317,996. Has a Clip, Sheep, & Spey blades. But when you look this up the number it goes to a Vintage Colonial PROV USA 2 blade Elec...

Re: Help Identifying This Type of Knife

I cleaned it which I don’t generally do. It’s in the metal. At first I thought it was a rope…. ::shrug:: I’m on this Schrade knife tang stamp NY USA underneath 881Y. I just finished looking at all the knives listed including sold ones. I found 2 881 but not any with a Y. It’s a 3 blade. Every knife ...

Re: Help Identifying This Type of Knife

There’s no where to ask this in the Remington section. I have a knife I’m trying to identify but there’s a strange marking on it that I’ve not found on another one. Maybe one of you will know.

Re: Do YOU have a CASE XX knife in YOUR pocket today?????

I have this CASE knife that I can’t read. I’m hoping someone will be able to read it or will just be Really good in Case knives. I tried going by the shield but I kept second guessing myself about the shape of the C. So I came to the “Brains” of knives. :D
Thanks!

I have to want to be sure I’m describing it correctly to potential buyers. I’m the same way on my other platform. So I read abo...

My mistake….. I thought I had posted it in the CASE forum. Does that show how boggled my brain is right now? This is all I’ve done for four days straight.

Re: Trouble with a CASE knife

Ok, I have been doing even more research on this knife. Well, on the bolsters, liners, pins, and blades. I’ve probably gotten it all wrong but I know you’ll head me in the right direction. Oh, I came up the handles are Genuine Red Bone-Nickel Silver Bolsters, Liners, and Pins. Blades are Chrome Chro...

Re: Trouble with a CASE knife

I went to CASE Research as suggested and studied the dot system again. I had read all of this research once but now that I have an understanding of what I’m looking for it’s making much more sense. And as Mumbleypeg had said it is a 1974. Thanks for suggesting me to go back and to research and figur...

Re: Trouble with a CASE knife

I’m COMPLETELY CONFUSED! You can see how CASE is but there’s six dots. The way I understood it this should be a newer knife. If so CASE XX USA would be entirely different….wouldn’t they?
