I went to ebay and typed in the ideal knife and behold there is an exact copy. You are correct it is ideal. I can read the writing on ebay.

Well I have looked till I can hardly see with these old eyes and I do think it says Ideal, about the {the} I do not know. So I would say you are correct.

I have a shell handle knife about 3 1/4 inches long. It is black with a drop point and pen blade. On the main blade at the bottom it says U.S.A, above that it has a word I can not make out. I read that salaries are going up in China and a friend of mine, executive in a large company, said about 20% per year. The article said some companies were bringing production back here. Well I hope that is true. Maybe the start of the end of cheap China stuff.

I just acquired a 3 1/4 inch knife , Imperial. It has a diamond shield on the side with DE in it. It is a stockman, 3 blade. It is tight and good shape. What does the diamond shield and DE mean?
