Hi folks. I'm back with another "ID" question. Can someone tell me the significance of the individual letter stamp on Coleman Western knives? My dad's collection contains a number of them. I read something that seemed to indicate it refers to a date but not sure. Thanks for any assist!

Thanks, gents. It is quite an unusual pattern. About all I've been able to figure out is it was made 1989 or later. Unfortunately, the glued label with model # fell off the box. :-( Dad had over 400 knives and multi tools, most purchased in the 80's and 90's and never used. It's been a lot of fun so...
