We'll do it again Iman! Most the guys I know just get a glazed look in their eyes and back away slowly when I start talking about knives!! ::paranoid:: When I ask them what they carry, they pull out some ugly thing they picked up at the gas/groc that might cut cold butter. I don't get it. ::shrug::

Sign up on my subscription page, where I'm trying to develop a method of notifying those who're on it of new stock when it arrives. Most new product has been selling fast, but at least you'll have a fighting chance at scoring. ::doh:: ::tu:: Good luck guys!

Re: GEC #81 Bull Moose/Un-popular Design?

Love the pattern and edc a Tidioute green bone. Great size with two full sized blades, although the sheepfoot is missed at times. I don't find the softer pull objectionable whatsoever. ::tu::

Not quite as pretty ivory, but I think the Madison Barlow pattern (based on the 43 frame that was just released, BTW) is a beautiful knife:

Charlie (waynorth) had a few at the OKCA show, and I bought one of them for myself and one for another member, but he may have one left if you contact him.

Re: Mail Call, Post Your New GECs.

Complaints about 'blade wobble' caused Bill at GEC to produce the 15 pattern Radio Jack and Harness Jack 7 more tightly fitted than earlier models, and the downside was that the blades were hard to open and had no walk & talk. I ended up sending a dozen or so back for slackening (and adding a te...

Re: Mail Call, Post Your New GECs.

Tony, scale inside the nail nick is so common on GEC as to be ubiquitous, in other words, that is the way the product is; the scale is left over from tempering and GEC doesn't mind seeing it in their nail nicks. GEC is a small company, and Bill Howard is constantly having to train new people; cutler...

Re: Mail Call, Post Your New GECs.

Really excellent stag on your 43 Greg; probably the best I've seen. The stag 43's were in short supply so congrats on your acquisition! ::tu:: I got a couple of these really unique small fixed blades to try out, but they don't come with a sheath so I suppose kitchen duty or leather craft might be mo...

Re: Show off your favorite GECs!

The gunstock w/ 'jackass' shield is one of a few made by GEC for Charlie Dorton. I used to have all three models, the 76, the 72 and the 65, but I sold the 76 and 65 off to fund my knife store. ::facepalm:: As luck would have it, I found another 76 (pictured) not too long ago and snagged it! Wish I ...
