Re: Can anyone explain this Ebay issue?

Some moron (or moron bot) that doesn't even know what Micarta is, would be my guess.

They think you're misusing the trademarked word "Micarta" in effort to sell something that is not genuine Micarta.

Re: All About Vegetation, House Plants, Gardens, Trees ect.

Looking good! Been raining here nearly every day (and again today) for the past two weeks... What I wouldn't do for some of that rain!!! We had about an inch total the whole month of March, an inch total in April, and a half inch so far in May. For an area that gets about 55 inches a year, its DRY ...

Having a hell of a time with no rain in sight and battling the winter kill and nitrogen damage over my septic....but still taking a moment to enjoy it after a mow :D

Re: Off Topic: Electrical Question

I'd agree with using a fixed load, an ammeter and a timer. It'd make for a very simple circuit. You could get fancier and make a circuit that would stop the stopwatch when the voltage drops....then you're not stuck watching it. I have a bunch of stuff that runs on these batteries. It amazes me that ...

Pretty berserk around here (Eastern NC). Cars lined up down the highway. Don't know what the gas prices are because I burn diesel...and have enough for a while.

Re: Crazy asking prices

If I don't like a price I just don't buy it. Sometimes that works and I later find one at a better price. Sometimes I buy something and still find it at a better price later, but doesn't matter because I wouldn't have paid what I did if I didn't want it that bad. :D

Re: Patterns I don't care much for.

I don’t like Barlows and I don’t know why. For me it was childhood memories of cheap clamshell nailbusters... :D Victorinox knockoffs. I love my Vics, but I’ve never had a knockoff that was any good. Ain't that the truth... Toothpicks and muskrats🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 With you on the toothpicks. Muskrats ar...

Re: Patterns I don't care much for.

Any knife called a “trapper” that doesn’t have a spey blade. I didn’t use to like barlows, but changed my mind on that. Don’t like fish knives, either. I thought Opinels were clunky and weird. Now I like them. Same with Okapis. I also don’t care for hunters. I don’t like liner locks, except on the s...

Some new RRs from SMKW today...

Very pleased with all of them. Not even the slightest liner gap anywhere in the batch.

Re: Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

I was carrying a Camillus S702 Sailor's Rope Knife with Can Opener today and I thought I would post it with my other S702. I really like the size of the S702, and it comes in handy if I have a can of beans in my truck and I am out in the brush and it is not a pull tap deal.... Oh...I very mu...

Re: Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

Here are the only two Camillus knives I have at present time. Both are Trappers, pattern 717Y, made within 20 years of the bankruptcy. The one on the top is for the cabinet, and the one on the bottom has been carried. I will add more Camillus knives to my collection sooner or later. Nice one. I lov...

Re: Rough Riders!

And my commentary on the knives. Left side top to bottom: The barlows are great. I like the horseshoe bolster, otherwise happy with both! Would like one in stag with the horseshoe. Never own (or was interested in) a Drs knife. This little bugger is nice! Unfortunately, the spring on the main blade i...

Re: Rough Riders!

My little stash of RRs. Nothing terribly special, but they give me something to do while the price of my other interests seems to fester at ridiculously high (even the knives I cherish I don’t cherish enough to pay what they seem to be going for lately).

Re: Will you take the Covid Vaccine ?

Didn't know you could still get it after you had the shot. Most recent info I have seen indicates about 6000 people have tested positive after vaccination. It may sound like a lot, but of the approximately 100 million fully vaccinated people it works out to very few. To put the 6000 into further pe...

Skip, I am curious. While I am generally not into very old knives (sacrilege, I know), that thing is a beauty.

Re: Will you take the Covid Vaccine ?

Which brand immunization did you & family receive ? My comment about little to no reaction to a second dose is based on immunizing babies/children in which reactions to top up doses are infrequent. It is quite possible that Covid immunization in adults gives different reaction outcomes. Right n...

Re: Will you take the Covid Vaccine ?

I received Covid immunization on April 13, the Pfizer variety. I felt a little 'off' after about 48 hours but it was minor and lasted only 2 days. Usually a person will have a lesser reaction or no reaction following the second dose. kj Please let us know if that turns out to be true for you. It’s ...
