Thanks KLJ77, appreciate the info ::tu::

That knife does seem to be a rare bird 🐦 I haven't found anything like it yet. Sure there has to be some more out there somewhere.

Re: Anyone heard of or seen a "KAYE HULL" tang stamp

I think the handles could be genuine ivory. The picture showing close up around the shield shows the somewhat indistinct grain that is typical of real ivory. Imitation ivory tends to have more distinct parallel lines. "Kaye Hull" was probably the name of a merchant business, not a knife m...

Re: Anyone heard of or seen a "KAYE HULL" tang stamp

I have not heard of that tang stamps before, but time handles look more to me like French Ivory, a type of celluloid, then they look like real ivory. It's hard to tell from a picture but there are a couple of dark brown spots on the handle in pictures 4 and 5. It is a dark brown spot near the bolst...

I was leaning toward ivory too but I'm still kind of new in the knife world. Have any pointers on how I can be fairly sure of what it is? My dad loved collecting knives and I got started by inheriting his collection now I'm hooked.

Re: Looking for Info on "KAYE HULL" knife tang stamp

Thanks for the info Xyphos. I didn't think about that but when I did a google search there were several types of tools that came up in reference to T.S. Kaye & Sons Tool Merchants. That's a good lead I'll keep searching still haven't seen any more knives like it though.
