Thanks, G-B, I've heard a lot lately about inserts/inlays falling off, guess they need to improve the glue strength.

Re: Comfort Knives!
Ha ha ha! It always strikes me funny when anyone not from Canada seems to think we who do live here know every square inch of our country off by heart, well, I can assure you my friend, most of us don't! It's a big country, bro, the majority of home-grown Canadians don't know where they are when the...

Re: Comfort Knives!
That's a cool knife, Dog, I actually have a single-blade bird's-head model with the same color and material covers. I'll post a picture when I next come across it while digging through my pile. Also, JFYI, I'm not down on yellow not nearly as much as I make out to be, especially when it's displayed ...

Re: Knife Photography
Balistreri Saddlehorn I'm confused, Joe, is it a Rosecraft or a Rough Ryder? Whichever it's gorgeous. More pics with the blade extended, please! 8) The saddlehorn is a custom by Vincenzo Balistreri. C-W already clued me in as to the maker, Joe, but thanks for the "open" picture all the sa...

Fixed blade beauties all ... especially David and another Blade Steak! 8) Been busy and not been able to post much, but I got one this week that I have been looking awhile for. Out of stock everywhere including my wholesale vendor. Finally gave BassPro a shot, and got the last one. And the price wa...

Got these two RoseCraft knives today from Corn Creek Cutlery on AAPK. Savage Creek Gunstock with Black Micarta handles and Nolichucky Jack with Moss Brown Bone handles. The CASE metal polish was an extra surprise! ::tu:: 20240417_163251.jpg20240417_163423.jpg20240417_163539.jpg Simply gorgeous, Dav...

Well guys, I never thought I'd ever say this, but I just might have met my match, this knife is just too big, even for me! This is a pristine Joseph Rodgers & Sons/No. 6 Norfolk St. Sheffield England/"To Strike Fire"/Barlow slip-joint that measure 11 1/4" open with a 6" hand...

A reflection of the camera/phone. Oh my goodness, these eyes of mine. ::doh:: Thanks, and sorry to bother you over a nothing. ::dang:: 8) Not a problem Mark. I have been proofing my recent pics for errors(out of focus; framing, etc.) . I'm surprised I missed it; reflections are one thing I try to e...

Re: Collections, Sub-Collections and Family Group Photos
Absolutely spectacular, Rey, many of which are after my own exact taste, What is the cutout/square dark area above the tang, on the knife 2nd from the right in your 1st picture on the "A few more" page, or in other words, the only knife with the clip-point blade? ::shrug:: Thx! 8) A refle...

Re: Other Seki Made
Here are a couple more A.G. Russells. They all have a trick to unlocking the blade but I can't figure out the pearl knife. Sharp and Shiny, I am guessing you can help me out. Sure can, slide the handles sideways. I think it’s the front handle that moves to unlock the blade. You will see two liners ...

Ah ha!
Thanks, Tony, it seems I was way off.
It does go to show though, how well some of these makers are building their knives, cuz I'm not the only novice who would think what I did, I was certain it was one of the 2 brands I mentioned.
Live and learn!
