Re: Happy Birthday thankgod4kids..
Late thanks to everyone. I haven't been online much. After all the moving last winter I'm busy trying to help both of my sons with projects. My oldest and his wife are expecting they're second child. My second oldest and his wife are expecting twins. Of course we had gutted their master bath and bed...

Re: Are There Any BASEBALL Fans On The Forum?
Nats @ Cubbies but I'm watching Caps/Bruins playoff game #2. C- A- P- S- !!! Yep. Baseball is on hold for me too. Too bad about that OT loss tonight. :D My daughter named our dog Tukka so she was rooting for Boston. Minnesota fan myself and the Twins are horrible so I'll stick with watching the Wil...

Re: Hen and Roosters with this tang stamp
I don't understand why companies aren't just out in the open as to where their products are made. It's seems a little dishonest to me. I would be less likely to purchase from one of these companies. If they are ashamed of where their products are made maybe they should change their production locat...

Re: Hen and Roosters with this tang stamp
Well mine is here. I'm not disappointed in the knife for what I paid but would be suspect as to German made. I'll let someone smarter than me be the judge. The Hen & Rooster/ Bertram is laser not stamped. It is stamped German Stainless Steel. The only place Solingen appears is on the paper it is...

Re: Hen and Roosters with this tang stamp
I have a stag congress stamped Spain that is very substandard. Scales have gaps and springs do not sit flush. My whittler stamped Solingen is one of my highest quality knives. I have a Congress in the mail that is supposed to be Solingen stamped. (My wife's fault. She left me waiting in the car for ...

Re: Ornithology (Bird) Thread
Went to see the folks for Mother's day and bring them a 50 bag of bird seed and more jelly. Dad's pretty much stuck in the house on oxygen but at least the Orioles and other birds are back and baseball is on tv. Starting to think I need some bird feeders at our place. Sorry for my camera. Getting ti...

Morning all. Well we got a tenth of rain out of a little shower that blew up as soon as everyone got to the car show. We're in a drought but a car show is still good for a little rain
A little frost this morning but supposed to be a beautiful day in the 60s. Have a great day everyone.

Here's my new toy. Picked it up at Cabelas for $289. Fit & finish are good. It's a 2021 Pietta. They must be shipping again because I'd heard the Italian factories were hit hard by Covid. It's an 1858 Remington Sheriff's model with 5 1/2 in barrel in .44 cal. Nice! I have the same model. It's p...

Morning all. Could see close to 90 this weekend. Welcome to the extremes of Iowa. Manure and field work is done. Planter should be done Monday. Yes. He's 25 and played with it when he was younger. Now he's getting serious and starting a sideline business. I'm hoping to get him to join AAPK. He's a knife lover too. He just put a site on Facebook. Hangin EZ Leather.
